The traditional way of thinking has been forgotten completely due to globalization. Communication in the world has been made easy. Opportunities have been increased from communications to marketing. This essay seeks to discuss the way globalization has changed the manner in which people think about themselves and about the world.

When people look at the world through the eyes of globalization, they see a global village. Globalization has enabled people to share technology and interact, existing as a global village. Technology and the internet have enabled people to connect the world over, and this has greatly influenced the way people think. Therefore, in looking at the world, the notion has directed that people see the world as a global village.

Opportunities have been heightened in the world by globalization. This has changed the way people look and see the world. Technology, which is a very vital part of globalization, has enabled people to access many opportunities in the world. A good example of increase in opportunities is the internet jobs and home offices. Many people nowadays work from their homes without having to travel. To make it better even more, these people work online not only for their countries, but for overseas customers. This is a sector of the world economy that has employed many people. Through this, the way people think has been affected and changed. When people think about working for example, they interpret it that they can work comfortably from their houses.

The people view the concept of diversity in the world has changed courtesy of globalization. Globalization has enabled people to learn about the cultures of other peoples in the world. This learning has been facilitated by the development of technology. Interactions in the social media like Facebook and twitter has to a great extent to understand the culture of the other people. Also the development of literature in the form of songs, poems and other forms that are transmitted all over has changed the way people think about diversity. Government to government interactions have also been increased by a great deal.

The way people think about buying and selling has also been changed to a great deal through globalization. Similarly, the way people view the global market has been affected by globalization. At the present time, one can buy and sell online. Shipment of goods from a continent to the other is only conducted the internet and effected. The number of days for processing of such transactions has been reduced to a great degree. This has all been facilitated by globalization. The handling of money for completing these transactions has also been facilitated by globalization. People in the present times do not need to carry cash when buying. They only need to effect transactions over the internet. Money is held online and passed from one owner to another through online transfers. Free trade has been improved and facilitated by globalization and enabled people to trade from country to country without restrictions.

The way people think about education has been transformed by globalization. Learning has become easier courtesy of globalization. Any piece of academic material can be accessed from any part of the world. The knowledge capacity and wealth has been distributed to all the parts of the world. This has even led to the development of language. Some languages have developed to become world languages, while other languages have lost meaning, and they have been forgotten. In addition, people have changed the way they view academic education. The world of academic education has undergone radical changes. It is possible for people to learn and acquire a degree certificate without physical presence. This has in some way affected the quality of education offered by some institutions, because of lack of physical interaction.

The negative effects of globalization has also has affected the way people think about themselves and the world. The erosion of morals has been a major effect of globalization. Through cultural interaction and the media, bad orals have been passed to all people and many have adopted them. This has affected their way of thinking, and caused them to adopt the way of thinking proposed by what they learnt from the morals they received. Cultural practices that go against people’s values have also been passed from generation to another.

Dominance by the technologically mighty has also changed the way people think of themselves and the world. People from developed countries have a tendency of looking at those from developing countries as lesser human beings. In this effect, they have dominated their trade, and even their democratic space.
