German Legislative Structure Reforms (Bicameralism)

Paper instructions:
Research paper arguing for or against an institutional reform in Germany. This paper should be in the form of an op-ed piece to a national newspaper. The voice should be from someone influential in a political party of your choice, be it the party leader, the prime minister, an ex-prime minister, a member of parliament, the mayor of a large city, etc. You need to make explicit
who you are speaking for and from what party.

Please be very specific about what reforms you think should or should not be introduced. In order to write this, you must have a grounded understanding of the institution that you pick and this must be conveyed in the op-ed. You can do this by either rst describing the institutional structure that you haven chosen, and then arguing for or against certain elements of it. Or, you can work your
understanding of the institutions you pick into the piece throughout.
