Flex Time Program

Employees in an organization become motivated to work best through ways such as flexible working. Flexible working is the act of allowing employees to work during their own hours of convenience but still ensuring that the 40 hours per week are maintained for each employee. The employer comes in by establishing some core hours during which each employee in the work force should be available. The time band could be for instance from 8-12 am after which the employee is set free to decide on the time he is going to work so as to meet the desired threshold of 40 working hours per week.

At first, this option may seem like the employee is the only beneficiary but with a well designed plan even the employer stands a chance of benefiting. Flexible timing schedules will help our group to increase productivity, morale, loyalty and also decrease employee turnover. It is a crucial tool for retaining valued and highly experienced employees which will enable our group to save on the expenses and time of recruiting and training new employees.

Flex time schedules will enable employees to use less of their personal times since they will be more flexible in scheduling their work appointments. Increased productivity is achieved through the fact that employees in our group will choose to work during their most productive times of the day. Employees will also schedule much of their time to attend to our clients at various areas of the market.

For this program to be a success we are going to ensure that the chosen employees are very responsible and disciplined since this program is subject to abuse. I am also considering the fact that not all our workforce will be available for work at the same time interval hence team work is key to success of the program.
