Finding Relationships/ Statistics

  1. Statistics

In the video, Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics, Sebastian Wernicke did a tongue-in-cheek analysis of how to design a great presentation.  Rather than be humorous, suggest some statistical analysis that you think would give good advice on how to be a better presenter.  Use the techniques from chapters 12- 14 and the variables of your choice to think of at least two research questions that would be helpful. Describe how you would analyze the results.

  2. Finding Relationships

You have been asked to come up with a new ad campaign for a national pizza chain.  You would like to target both young adults and families with children, but you don’t have the budget for two separate campaigns.  What are some variables that you could measure and how would you analyze them to determine how these two groups are alike or different to decide what features you want to emphasize in your campaign?
