Catalogue Brief ?You have been approached by a Cinémathèque to produce a catalogue which assembles, annotates and justifies a collection of Australian films or television programmes intended for an exhibition to showcase Australian film or television. The purpose of the catalogue is to introduce an audience to a specific Australian movie or television genre which demonstrates how each selected movies/programmes exemplifies, and fits into, this particular genre. The catalogue will demonstrate how these individual titles are distinctively Australian, or similar to an international genre but in an Australian content, and will frame them within a historical or contemporary context. ??

Following the above brief, develop a catalogue of 5 movies or 5 episodes* from different television/mini-series (accounting for the individual episode’s place in the overall series) that exemplifies one of the following genres: ? ?

• You can cite lecture notes (maximum of 2), but independent research will result in higher grades. ?
• This assessment item is not an analytical essay. Therefore direct quotations, even indented direct quotations, will count towards your word total.?
• Do not use footnotes. If you do, they also count towards your word total. In addition, footnotes in a programming catalogue can be confusing to read, so it’s better not to use them at all.?
