The final project for this course is the creation of an executive briefing report.
In today’s world, individuals with psychopathic or sociopathic personality disorders have been found to be the cause of many volatile situations. Many of these
situations may have been avoided if the proper individuals were alerted to the cause and effect. In this course, students will learn to differentiate between
functional and dysfunctional personality disorders, traits and triggers associated with these types of disorders, and how to employ appropriate communication
skills in the situation to determine if further action is necessary.
In this assessment, students will investigate a psychopath or sociopath from a provided list. They will identify the individual’s behavior as either psychopathic or
sociopathic and describe the traits and triggers associated with the disorder in the specific individual. Based on the disorder, students will recommend
communication and intervention strategies that would be most appropriate for the individual. As a conclusion, students will articulate how being able to identify
personality disorder traits and triggers would be helpful in real-world situations.
