Topic: Examining the Link between Exposure to Sexist Video Game Content, Benevolent Sexism and Harassment.
Paper details:
I am basically doing a duplication study of Stermer & Berkley (2012). Trying to prove as their study did that there is a link between benevolent sexism (but hostile sexism) in males who play video games playing games with sexist content. I have already collected the data from around 40 participants and just need it analysed using hierarchical regression analyses.
My key source and hypothesis is below and I have also attached cvs files as well as spps files with my data set in them
Stermer, S. & Burkley, M. (2012). SeX-Box: Exposure to sexist video games predicts benevolent sexism. Psychology of Popular Media Culture, 47-55.
Hypothesis: Males who play games with sexist videogame content will be higher in benevolent sexism than those who play games low in sexist videogame content
Could just ask the writer to let me know when he knows whether the hypothesis was met or not, so I know what I should be saying in my discussion section
