Evaluating Uncertainty in Data Analysis

Evaluating Uncertainty in Data Analysis

Policy makers believe that there is always a measure of uncertainty in data used to determine which public sector projects will be approved. It is this uncertainty or flaw in the data that makes the analytical process challenging and not definitive or foolproof.
Tasks:
For this individual assignment, build from the LASA 1 you completed in M3: Assignment 2 (Evaluating Decisions). Alternatively, use the Argosy University online library resources and the Internet to locate and read an article about another public sector decision of comparable complexity. Write a 3- to 5-page analysis report that includes the following:
€¢ Summary of the decision that was made
€¢ Analysis of any missing data and its importance
€¢ Evaluation of how well the agency or department dealt with the uncertainty caused by incomplete information
€¢ Explanation of how the "good enough" solution could have been improved by more extensive before-the-fact analysis
€¢ Explanation of the metrics that you used to reach your conclusion
Support your assumptions by citing reputable source materials. Your submission should follow APA style.
