– research paper. Two parts A and B .
– part A: literature review. Part B: case study.
– focus on risk leverage with the title.
The paper should include :
-title page.
-table of contents with page numbers.
-introduction.( should clearly set out objectives, context, content and structure of the work).
-literature review.( should be well structure , should be critical and analytically rather than merely descriptive, should relate discussion to hospitality sector ,
depth of research).
-case study.( provide broad outline of the organisation being examined(max.1 paragraph), provide a brief methodology section regarding primary research undertake
critically review the case in relation to the literature themes).
-conclusions.( conclusion drawn and their implications assessed).
-layout/organisation, referencing/bibliography, appendices. coherence and cohesion , perfect grammar.
-list of references/bibliography. (at least 20 references , prefer between 2010-2014 years).
-word count for part A and part B is 1500 words each. Total 3000 words( not including title page ,table of contents, list of references and appendices).
part A: should address the main issues and area of debate in the literature, particularly drawing from refereed journal article.
part B: requires students to select a hospitality organisation of their choice and apply/discuss how it is addressing the issue /themes that were explored in part A.
students are required to undertake some limited primary research ( e.g.an interview with a senior manager of your chosen organisation or undertake a small survey).
student will need to briefly address the methodology undertaken and should include for example, an interview theme sheet or a questionnaire as an appendix.
