The journal addresses hypertension management practices among the Asian women. According to research carried out by Jaward m khan and D Gareth Beevers showed that there are various medical and lifestyle approaches that are used by Asian women to manage and control diabetes.

According to the journal, cardiovascular ailments have of late led to the loss of lives to many citizens of China. Diabetes is a major predisposing factor in cardiovascular diseases, and its incidence is high and rising each day in China. A national survey in 1994 identified how the Asian women deal with this challenge.
