This assignment will require you to utilize your ability to create graphs and analyze data. For those of you currently taking BIO 745/746, this is another opportunity to apply the knowledge you have gained. For those who have already taken BIO 745/746, Dr. Thorpe has graciously provided a presentation in Learning Activity #3 as a refresher to help
you complete this assignment.
The purpose of this assignment is to encourage you to take data from non-healthcare sources and integrate it into a meaningful healthcare or public health message.
Using data from the Federal Highway Administration or another transportation source, create your own graph and translate this data into a meaningful message for the public. Here are some examples of sample data:

If you choose data from the FHA website, access the .xls version and only use a small subset of the data. You might want to look at the other pages in the spreadsheet to see what has been done. Thesecond link is data from a specific intersection in Los Angeles. If you want to use this type of data, try to find data from a city near you.
Reply to your peers addressing the type of graph, the interpretation
of the data and graph, and content of the material, as well as strategies
to manage traffic flows. Do not forget to include a reference in at least one reply post.
Do not make this assignment too difficult; instead, have some fun, present what you come up with, and let your peers give you some guidance. Try to include the graph in your original post using the
HTML option. If you cannot do this, then add the graph as an attachment.

Air Quality, Transportation, and Respiratory Diseases. Include some of the concepts introduced in the Keil and Ferng readings.
Memos should introduce material in an engaging manner without lecturing. The tone should be professional and cordial. After all, these are your colleagues you are writing to.
