Psychotherapy Paper (41 points)
Choose one of the Psychotherapies listed in readings for this class. Write an 8-10 page paper (exclusive of cover page and references) discussing use of the method with a client system chosen from viewing a contemporary movie. You may choose a character from: “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” “As Good as it Gets” or “The Help”. Papers will be evaluated on the student’s ability to demonstrate understanding of the method, clarity, and mechanics.
Please note accessing journals and papers necessary for satisfactory completion of this course assignment takes time and needs to be planned well ahead. You are encouraged to begin this project early. Seminal references are valuable and may be included, however your references to empirical (research) studies must include those written in the past 5 years. You will need to use academic resources, not general internet resources. This means
