This assignment is worth 40 points toward your Course Project grade.

For this assignment, find ONE article related to our course project (i.e., Dating in College: Hook Up Culture and Social Media/Apps and Romantic Relationships). You will need to type up a 1-2 page summary of the article. In order to do this efficiently, follow the format and guidelines below exactly. This assignment should be typed in Times New Roman 12 point font, double spaced, and stapled. I will not accept abstracts that are not formatted correctly.

1. Page One: Title Page in accordance with APA 6th edition.

2. Page Two: Title of your Document, page number (top right), and the following:

Article:

Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (2005). Title of article: Subtitle of article. Title of Periodical, xx, pp-pp. doi: XXXXX

Purpose: Based on the literature review, tell me what the basic rationale/purpose of the study was in about in 2-3 sentences. Why did the author(s) do the study?

Research Questions/Hypotheses: List exactly what the research questions or hypotheses of the study were. Use proper formatting, as we discussed in class.

Method: What did the researchers do to answer their questions? What methodology did they use (e.g., surveys, experiments)? How many participants did they have? Who were the participants (e.g., college students?).

Results: For each of the above research questions and hypotheses, tell me what the researchers found. Were they able to support their hypotheses?

Discussion & Implications: Tell me what YOU thought of this article. Was it interesting? Helpful? Well-written? What implications does it have for future research in this area? What implications does it have for our course project? Do you have any critiques of it? This section should be about 2-4 paragraphs.

Note: You should use the headers I have provided here in your document, so that I can find information easily. These headers should follow APA guidelines for headers (see resources at the end of this document). There is no need for a reference page, as you will cite your article at the top of page two.
