Culturally Relevant and Culturally Biased Messages
Project instructions:
Culturally Relevant and Culturally Biased Messages
When sending messages to various groups, the message needs to be delivered in a way that is consistent with the values, attitudes, and beliefs of the target audience
or community. When they are not, the messages are often ignored.
Therefore it is essential to develop culturally relevant materials that match the values, attitudes, and beliefs of the target audience or community. This matching
will then increase the willingness of the audience to consider the message.
If the message provides steps that seem efficacious, it will increase the likelihood that the target audience or community members may engage in the desired behavior
change.
As you develop your messages, make sure they are relevant and free of bias.
