Cultural Accommodation in the Classroom Multiculturalism, according to Norton (p4), refers to a scenario where different cultural groups exist within a single society. Although some society can develop multiculturalism due to the existence of different ethnic groups within their original location, but in most cases multiculturalism exist as a result of the arrival of immigrants groups. Upon their arrivals, these ethnic groups have the chance of developing new cultural practice or practice their own cultural practices without affecting other communities within the society (Cuyjet et al, p25). Multiculturalism has various advantages to societies that practice it. According to Anderson and Campbell (p7), Canada is considered to one of the countries that practice multiculturalism globally.
