graduate identifies, evaluates, and utilizes information resources in order to investigate
specific research topics.
Objectives:

examination of a given research topic.
508.2.3-06: Identify keywords, synonyms, or related terms that will facilitate the search
for information on a specified research topic.
508.2.3-07: Construct a search strategy for information on a specified research topic using
appropriate commands for the information retrieval system selected.
508.2.3-08: Utilize a search strategy for a specified research topic using appropriate
information retrieval systems.
508.2.3-09: Determine based on search results for a specified research topic whether to
use alternative information retrieval systems or investigative methods.
