Competetive analysis
. We started by identifying the direct competitors, indirect competitors and the replacements/substitutes for GoPro. Then we made a feature table (minimum of 6 most important features to the target consumer*) for GoPro and 3-4 competitors selected by taking into consideration the target consumer* each student selected and the particular GoPro Hero camera model each student selected for their paper. Then I asked each group to spend time articulating the benefit the target consumer* derives from each feature listed in the feature table. Finally we attempted to explain what differentiates each competitor in the selected group or said another way – what makes each of these competitors unique in the marketplace? So this could be based on the brand positioning or history for each competitor or it could be based on the feature/benefit for their price for example.
Deliverables
In any medium that you choose (Word doc, Excel sheet, PowerPoint, video, etc.) provide or discuss the following…
1) Submit a feature table including GoPro and 3-4 competitors accessed with a minimum of 8 features evaluated (10 points). Explain the benefit of each of the features that you have listed in your feature table. This benefit needs to be in terms of your target consumer* and should be a thorough explanation(10 points).
2) For the GoPro model you have selected and each competitor explain how each is differentiated in the marketplace? Said another way, what makes each of these competitors including GoPro unique? Provide your explanation along with your statements(20 points).
