Challenges faced while developing proposal

  1. Cost implications- high technology materials and equipment required high expenses. This meant a lot of spending so as to develop the project. Paying the technical staff that did demonstrations was an extra cost that we could not avoid. Some of our customers complained that the equipment was expensive. I learnt that the budget is very crucial in the development of a proposal. I will apply this skill next time.
  2. Demonstrations to customers-it proved a bit hard to explain the working technique and the operation of our apparatus to clients who were not conversant with the field of IT. Unfortunately, most of our client base is not conversant with the area of IT. We had to modify the language to use simpler terms to explain to clients. Again, explaining to them without using technical jargon proved hard. This will help me in my future proposals by first of all, familiarizing with the needs of the targeted customers so as to serve them well.

Summary of concepts

  1. Development of a business architecture is a key skill that I appreciate I have leant and I will be proud of. The systematic process including the determining the requirements needed to develop business architecture will help me in my future proposals. When I will hold a position in a company requiring me to develop business architecture for them, I have no doubts, I know I will be of benefit for them.
  2. The skill of analyzing business architecture will give me an upper hand in the market. Advising an organization on how to link modified business architecture to their already existing structure, is a job I can do well after passing through these lessons.
  3.  Finally, deriving business rules from business requirements is a coveted skill. I am proud that I can be beneficial in linking new technology in to the system of a business to satisfy its needs.
