Book Review Titled a Brief History of the US Army World War II

In this book, World War II has been explained as one of the largest conflicts to have ever existed not only in the history of the United States (US) Warfare, but also in the conflict history of mankind. World War II that also subjected different continents, cities and nations into a prolonged rivalry, dignified a toll of collective knowledge from different quarters. While World War II continues to draw mixed reactions from different societies, this book explains the interests of several scholars and partisans to the world War history thus giving a vast knowledge of more than just social, political and military implications of the War (Center of Military History 1).

While it seems hard for this book to trend on the ground, it has compiled several subjects about War veterans and how they drove off the army into different battle fields in the name of conquering to showcase power. The author’s inclusion of various arrays of information and images is provides the audience with ea passion treat towards understanding the concepts of the book with ease. For instance, the two images on page 17 one containing the statue of a woman and anther containing the text “ freedom from fear and want” signifies the need and tolerance to the US military to the world War II battle (Center of Military History 17)

The brief history of the US army illustrates some of the major ground force campaigns’ during the World War II. As a consequent, it offers suggestions to the audience to seek for more information as to what opportunities inspire American military to engage into a Warfare invasion. In my opinion, this could have been a strategy incorporated by the author to attract attention of the audience to go through the other chapters of the book. In this context, the author does not shy away from demonstrating how the militaries engaged in the World War II did not concede to the brutal nature of War (Center of Military History 6). Though some of the illustration may be difficult to understand, most contexts especially where women have been involved as partisans to the War are demonstrated with a lot of humor.

Having a map at some given sections of this book, the author benefits the readers with his generous inclusion by helping the audience to track the movements of the US and other militaries during the course of the War. Some of these maps are very explicit as they give every-little information regarding the military division including the commands (Center of Military History 12). Contrary to other books, the maps have not been published in very tiny type face, but the images have been synchronized to cover a bigger section of the book thus enhancing the visibility to readers.

The brief history of the US army book explains the relevance of World War II not only as a profession of arms, but it also gives an insights concerning the US military preparation to tackle global problems and embrace coalition against unnecessary fascism. As such, it brings to our perception how the US military is great assistance to save the world under different missions. Moreover, the author illustrates by giving a projection of around 50 years of military action in saving the society through different initiatives including education of Americans about the War and public service to the society. Therefore, it may have been used to demonstrate the army fought for magnificent and might endeavors of the society (Center of Military History 4).

The brief history of the US army book in World War II is bound to become a definitive account of events during the world War II, the book gives a more comprehensive history of various sections of the world that may have been affected by the occurrence of World War II. As a matter of fact, it clarifies the need for readers who wants to understand how German forces overrun militaries of the western Poland. From an observable point of view, the book will want to keep the audience handy in order to form valid information of what was faced and overcome during the War. Such is a trend that is often used by several authors to draw the attention of the readers, but this cases being special since the author is concerned at minimizing the axis and responsibility for struggle for leverage in the Second World War. Besides, A brief history of the US army world War accounts for the happenings during the Warfare in 1940 putting several theories to test several military forces including Norway, German and Denmark.

The book explains about hitless participation in to the Warfare by sending his troops under Lt. Gen. Erwin to fight alongside Italians who had been overpowered by the British in the north of Africa. Such an explanation expands the knowledge of the readers concerning German interests into Balkans expeditions of the Greece (Center of Military History 16). Despite featuring history of a broad range, information concerning the second world War that have been provided in this book helps readers to think that the Warfare engaging the US Army in World War II could have been exponentially bigger than what existed by then. The concept has also been supported by the existence of images and map. However, some of the images are cartoons in nature. This does not justify the subject matter since valid pieces of information can be drawn from it. The impulse to fit suggestive understanding of the audience is characterized by the notion and selectivity employed by the audience in the narration (Center of Military History 6).

The author narrates about what was termed as Sicily and the Italy. This was an interstate combining chief of staffs of the large Italian island, the hen president and the Prime Minister Churchill who spearheaded a meeting that their state would never tolerate any more chances of attacks from the British Montgomery forces. The book further illustrated how the German amour struck American beaches creating a lot of fatalities before they were counter attacked by the 7th battalion of the US army lasting days of battle. From this concept, conclusions can be drawn that the US army were eminently prepared for any chances of attack during the World War II and their contingencies to marshal enemies was great despite causalities (Center of Military History 8).

Ultimately, winds up the book by explaining how the Germans gained power to disarm the Italian army and taking over their defensive position. However, more troops were later sent to the harbor of Toronto to get off the opponent forces, but not much success had been achieved since the US armies under the Lt Gen Mark were on toes. In conclusion, the book gives the readers a clear view concerning the intention of the US army during the World War II (Center of Military History 15).
