Based on the premise that development processes need to change to become more sustainable than they currently are, students are asked to present a well argued and

substantiated rational for a change in the current property development process in Western Australian, or some other nominated home’ jurisdiction.

This argument can draw from the ideas and examples presented in-group assignments 1 and 2, the lecture series, or as a reflection of the students own research and

interests.

In general this can be interpreted to mean:

It is about any topic/theme relevant to development processes, which you would like to research/comment on.

It can be informed by the material/topics that you have been exposed to in the unit, or outside if you want argue the worthiness of some other topic.

The idea is that you argue for a better way of doing something (a planning or development process) which is well researched rather than a baseless rant.

Sustainability is offered as a broad framework for you to define/argue a progressive specific position.

Make sure you do some journal reading, and use and reference it properly.

Dont €¦ use the argument€¦to speed up the approval process€¦.it is not an argument€¦more an often repeated mantra.
