“Last week we studied hypothesis testing for up to two population comparisons.  This week we are studying ANOVA and testing for the equality of more than two means, simultaneously.

What is one primary advantage that ANOVA gives us over conducting several pairwise t-tests.  That is, if we have Groups A, B, C, and D, we could test for the equality of their means simultaneously using ANOVA.

If we use pairwise t-tests, we would have to compare A to B, A to C, A to D, B to C, B to D and C to D.
