1. Basic Idea of the Theory

1. On a scale from 1 – 10 (10 being highest), rate and explain the theory for each of the following functions of theory:

• How well does it Organize?
• Does it Extend our knowledge?
• Does it Stimulate future research? (What is its heuristic value?)
• Does it help to Anticipate communication behavior?

• Past Application of Theory – Search the communication journals to find an article that uses this theory. Give a brief summary (in your own words) of the research and include an APA citation for the article. The article should be within the past five years if at all possible.

1. An example of how you have seen this theory “come to life” in your own life OR explain a current event, movie, show, or book that could be an example of this theory? Do NOT give examples already used in the text!!!!
