Abstract
Heading: Analyzing the recruitment and selection practices and how does it affect the performance and development: A case of Topshop
Author: Alana Gumbe
Purpose: this research dissertation looks to explore the recruitment and selection process of Topshop and look at alternatives that Topshop could use to try and minimize their staff turnover.
Approach: I believe that this topic is very relevant, because Recruitment and Selection has constantly changed over the past number of years from Smith and Robertson (1986) to the most up to date in Taylor (2010). Recruitment and selection has an important role to pay in ensuring employees performance and positive organizational outcomes. Inappropriate selection decisions can reduce the organization effectiveness, invalidate reward and development strategies, are often unfair on the individual recruit and can be difficult for managers who have to deal with inappropriate employees.
