Analyse how effectively the law in England responds to social and technological change

Your answer needs to provide a basic outline of the sources of law and law-making processes in England as a basis for your analysis. This information is provided in Blocks 1 and 2, and the associated materials. You should ensure that your explanation of the sources of law and law-making processes is brief as the substantial part of your answer should focus on critical analysis.

You should ensure that you analyse each part of the question, i.e. you should consider both the social and the technological aspects of the question, and should bear in mind that while the law may be effective in responding to one of these aspects it may not be effective in responding to the other.

You should not try to include everything in the module materials, but should ensure that the evidence and examples you select support your answer. For example you may wish to identify examples of social and technological change, and to critically analyse how the law responded to these examples. Blocks 2 and 7, and the associated materials provide specific examples of social and technological changes which have affected the law.
