Select and justify your choice of an informal assessment tool or an activity that you would use to monitor children’s learning, products, and participation in activities during social studies. Using the information provided in your
textbook, reliable websites, the GCU eLibrary, and your own experience, construct an informal
assessment, including the following:
1. Identify each tool or activity and its purpose.
2. Describe it and provide directions for implementation.
3. Provide an example of any graphic organizer, rubric, or checklist.
4. Describe how and when it would be used in instruction.
5. Include at least one activity designed to have children self-assess their work and participation.
6. Provide a test key if appropriate.
Finally, design a rubric to accompany one of the assessments.
