In this week, you will explore just how these differences can impact psychological adjustment, especially when individuals find themselves having to adjust to a different environment where the roles of men and women are viewed differently.

̢¢ Explore the WHO Web site to see the numerous issues related to gender roles and differences across the globe. Write down as many issues as you can discover that are gender related. Think about whether or not any of these issues involve adjustment and if so, how.
⬢ Watch the public service announcements for Vietnam, Uganda, and Mexico from the World Bank’s Gender Action Plan. Notice what gender issues are implied in these countries.
