Action Plan
Order Description
Choose an issue and develop a strategy to achieve your goal(s) through collective action.
An action plan ?outlines a step-by-step campaign to implement a strategy to achieve
organizational goals and objectives? (Staples, Chapter 5). You can either prepare a plan
for an existing organization or a proposed organization.
Include the following in your plan:
Background:
1. Description of organization (type, leadership, membership, mission, history, goals)
2. Analysis of an issue (cut and frame)
3. Why you have chosen this organization/issue
Action Plan:
4. Tactics
5. Counter-tactics
6. Timetable
7. Recruitment
8. Preparation
9. Assessment
Your plan should be roughly 7-8 pages, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, and at least 11-
point font.
