– “The Death of Ivan Ilych,” by Leo Tolstoy
– “The Man Who Was Almost a Man,” by Richard Wright
– “Yellow Woman,” by Leslie Marmon Silko
– “The Yellow Wallpaper,” by Charlotte Gillman

The Paper must have the following minimum elements:

1) An intro paragraph, wish a thesis statement that presents the papers overall point
2) A paragraph explaining the function of perspective in the first story; support your assertions with examples, quotes, and details from the text
3) A paragraph explaining the function of perspective in the second story; support your assertions with examples, quotes, and details from the text
4) A paragraph comparing and contrasting perspectives in the two stories
5) A conclusion paragraph that considers the larger implications of your findings and wraps up the paper

The paper must be 1,200 words, typed, and double-spaced, and it must be presented in concise error-free prose.

Grading Criteria:

1) All the requisite elements as outlines above
2) Adequate textual support
3) Smooth facilitative prose with strong paragraph and sentence structure
4) Mistake free and grammatically-sound writing
