A Piece or the Whole Collapse
Vedic culture believes in a universal spirit, which ultimately unites every piece of the puzzle into one whole. The hearts of all individuals contains the Supreme
Being. We are one large spirit that lives eternally and immortally. In which case, no one can presume as just an individual. People of such culture unite themselves as
one, not preforming any selfish acts and living for their immortal spirit that, someday, will proceed onto the next life and make it even greater than the present.
Not that I particularly agree with the above, this point of view would prove it wrong to care about oneself as an individual. As I stated above there
is really no such thing as an individual in such a culture, every piece of the puzzle is a certain way to benefit the whole, fit into the places it needs and
represents the puzzles image as whole fully as possible. In which case, every piece of the Supreme Being preforms a certain way in order to benefit not themselves, but
the whole of the society.
Personally, I too believe that one should not only think of themselves as just individual. Although I do deem this important, I also believe that one
should preform and act a certain way in order to make the world a better place. No one should be selfish, irrational, or unjust with their actions, everyone needs to
take into consideration the well- being of society as a whole in order to improve the world. With that being said, I also believe that ones individual interests and
needs are extremely important for happiness and well- being of the mind. In which cases, selfish acts are somewhat permitted if they cause no harm and benefit you in a
healthy, long- standing way.
