A Healing Hospital

As demonstrated by many scholars, healing is not like curing that involves addressing the problems about sickness such as eradicating the disease. Healing is not an action of curing a patient, but a process through which health is restored to the patient. Healing is majorly concerned with how the patient is being conducted, the environment he or she is subjected to and how the physicians in a particular health facility handle their patients (Brands & Witte, 2013). An excellent healing plant is described by the factors discussed below:

A healing hospital should have a safe social setting, in that patient should have a secure place where privacy with relatives and patients guaranteed. Rooms should be available the patients can meet its people to discuss matters concerning their affairs.

Hospital rooms should have positive distractions such as aquariums, internet connections, individual videos and music specially meant for health care setting. This kind of distraction will ensure that the patients most of the time are enjoying the programs away from stresses.

A healing hospital should ensure that the patients are connected to nature; if possible they should be related to outdoor flower gardens, aquariums and indoor flower gardens for fresh air beauty. Eliminate environmental and social stresses such as noise, poor air quality and lack of privacy (Douglas, Hathaway & Burks, 2011).

Health practitioners should respect the patients and value their dignity and uniqueness of each. A healing hospital is the one that ensures that the patients are not harassed or mistreated in any way.

Persons with disabilities or those with physical challenges or the aged and should not be a reason for isolation or loneliness.

Therefore, healing hospitals should ensure the environment the patients is subjected to should be patient friendly, and the caregivers should focus on better handling of the patients.
