You are the President of The Accounting Club (“TAC”) at Kean University.
Your tenure as president is for the 2012/2013 academic year. You are aware that the “Big Four” accounting firms do not “recruit from Kean” but you find this to be unacceptable and would like to do something about this during your presidency.
You read a Star-Ledger article dated February 1, 2011 entitled, “Despite economy, N.J. accounting graduates see job opportunities,” which has a quote from Ron Rickles, managing partner of Deloitte’s Parsippany, New Jersey office. You decide to write him a letter introducing yourself (as president of the club) and to make a case for why Kean graduates should be considered for hiring at his firm. You will end your letter by inviting him to come and meet Kean accounting majors at the TAC’s annual symposium which will take place in the Spring 2013.
