When life gives you lemons, make lemonade

Purpose: Think about the saying, When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Also, think about how people tend to make the most of challenging situations.Choose a topic for your essay that relates toovercoming a challenge. This is not a personal narrative or a story about your life or anyone else’s personal life.
Instead, write about how people in generalbeat the odds when a situation seems impossible, for example, overcoming stereotypes, conquering fears, living with an illness, or meeting other difficult challenges. Additionally, the essay might follow a specific pattern of organization such asexplanation definition, classification, comparison/contrast, persuasion, problem/solution (See text, Section 505D)
The task for this paper is to use your essay writing skills and to show a basic understanding of essay structure and development and to demonstrate adjusting your writing for audience and purpose.
?    The essay topic may first need to be narrowed and further developed so that it is focused enough to write a multi-paragraph essay. Additionally, you are to make the topic interesting and engaging for your potential audience/reader.
Use the following to guide your essay writing:
?    Pre-write (i.e. brainstorm, question, list, etc.) to narrow the focus of your topic.
?    Create an outline or concept map to organize the essay information.
?    Develop a clear, focused thesis sentence that makes a point about your topic.
?    Develop the parts of your essay including the title, introduction paragraph,at least three (3) body paragraphs and concluding paragraph.
?    Revise and rewrite to create unity and coherence throughout, including using appropriate transitions.
?    Proofread for errors in grammar, spelling and punctuation. Eliminate any serious errors in grammar and mechanics (refer to the course syllabus for the specifics of serious errors.)
Submit to Blackboard in ONE Microsoft Office document the following
?    All prewiringsuch as outline, freewrite, or mapping, andessay rough draft(s). Label in heading each draft of paper (such asrough draft #1, rough draft # 2, final draft).
