1. In your HTML textbook page 26, in Apply Your Knowledge section, please work on Understanding Web Page Structures problem. Please read instructions carefully in

your textbook, but some steps below are slightly modified in order to submit your assignment online.

Steps: (1) Start your browser. the Costco.com Web site in your browser. You don’t need to print, but you can capture a snapshot by using Alt+PrintScreen keys on

your keyboard , and then copy and paste your snapshot to a Word file.

(2) Explore the Costco.com Web site, determine the structure that the Web site utilizes (linear, hierarchical, or Webbed), and then keep writing your thoughts in the

Word file that you worked on in the step 1.

(3) Find two other online retail store Web sites, and navigate these websites to identify any design features that are beneficial to a user.

(4) Using ideas from the online retail Websites you found in Step 3, sketch a new Website structure and design for the Costco.com in a Word file that you have been

working on from Step 1.

(5) Put your name on your Word file based on Steps 1-4 and submit it online. Minimum word limit is 250 words.

jewelry that she makes online. You would like to develop a Website for her that can display her jewelry and be a means for sales transactions. Thoroughly investigate

the websites of other online jewelers and get snapshots for three of them. Before starting on the design, you decide to create a list of Web design principles to which

the Web site will adhere. Search the Web for more information about Website design. Find three Websites that give information about website design principles. For this

assignment, you need to create a Word file, which contains the following info.:

(1) take the ideas presented in Chapter 1 together with the ideas you found on the Web to make a comprehensive list of Web design principles.

(2) determine whether or not the websites you investigated comply with good design principles. Where appropriate, identify any conflicting design principles discussed
