Topic: How did global events in the 1910s and the 1920s feed into the global events and policies of the 1930s?

The essay must be 1500 words long, footnoted and with a bibliography of sources used.

The textbook I am using for this course is Meredith and Dyster’s Australia In The Global Economy.

I want you to focus on the big economies of Europe and also the United States during their 1910s and 1920s. Maybe talk about Japan a little bit. I want there to be an evaluation of how the war during the 1910s and the 1920s were able to have a severe impact on the Great Depression.

I want the essay to have a structure of introduction, main body and a conclusion.

Talk about the trust issues that these nations have with each other and the impacts that have on each other. Talk about how tariffs and trade barriers changed the landscape of economic power and movements.

Include the Wall Street Crash of 1929 amongst other things. Focus in on causes and effects of each events and evaluate their significance and why are they so significant.
