The oil and aerospace industries are responsible for the rapid growth of Houston Texas

Paper details:

The oil and aerospace industries are responsible for the rapid growth of Houston Texas. Since that time, Houston has also become a world leader in healthcare. In fact, it is this ability to diversify that has helped it overcome fluctuations in the oil market.

Culturally, Houston is the most “Southern” of Texas’ big cities, but it also has a strong Mexican influence. The city has a large African American and Hispanic presence. Today Houston is the fourth largest city in America.

Meanwhile, Detroit has experienced a precipitous decline over the last half century. Unlike Houston, Detroit’s economy was primarily based on one industry. Globalized competition cut deeply into the market share of Detroit’s automakers. Further, rising energy prices hurt demand for and consumption of inefficient American-made autos. Ultimately, higher oil prices led to greater profits for the largest oil companies, many of which were based in Houston. These same higher prices affected demand for automobiles, many of which were made in Detroit. These economic factors, as well as many others, were driven by state, federal, and international policy.

Research the economic policies that were put in place both on the state and federal level that created the modern economic conditions in Detroit and Houston. Provide a thorough analysis of why these policies were initiated. Who ultimately benefited from these policies? Be sure to use and cite quality sources.
please the writer should cite all the sources they use for the paper.
