Properly management is very important. You have to save as much of the land as you can.  That is how you will save species by not destroying their homes. Instead of building out why not build up. Doing that you will still be providing homes and work places but you are building up into the air instead of using more and more land and cutting down all the the trees. Sectioning off land that is a no build area and no cutting down around will help to preserve species both plants and animals alike.
