With the use of different types of technology my life has not be usual as it has contributed to my wellbeing. Most of the work and daily tasks that I undertake are made simpler by the use of technology. I can easily transact on a digital platform; my communication processes are made easier. More surprising is the speed at which technology seem to change and advance each day replacing the traditional modes of doing things(Wellman &Haythornthwaite, 2008). E-commerce has been real and impacting on several businesses each day with those that are not ready to adopt being replaced or rendered redundant(Grimshaw& Kala, 2011).

Which, if any, of the technologies have more to do with your professional life than your private life?

The adoption and revolution of internet have had more impact on my professional life given that I work as a journalist. The internet has impacted on the spread of information whether they are facts or fiction. With the internet, news has been made easily accessible and available real-time(Hermida, 2010). Anyone can search the globe anytime and get news without travelling in foreign news. There has been reduction in physical proximity as the world is made a global village. The practices in journalism have changed overtime with internet allowing the adoption and spread of international standards. There has been easy learning of practical communication skills through some of the television programs offered due to availability of television networks on the digital platform(Hermida, 2010).

What do your technology and the way you use it say about you as a person?

With the introduction of technology, my personality has been affected positively in terms of competencies and skills(Wellman &Haythornthwaite, 2008). I have been able to communicate effectively and share information clearly with a more conceptualization of ideas. My decision-making abilities has improved with the ability to make proper decisions that have positive impacts on businesses.
