Upon completion of the lab, write a brief essay (suggested length of 1-2 pages) in which you:

A. Define the following three terms in relation to microbial growth:
• Isotonic
• Hypotonic
• Hypertonic

B. Describe your observations for Staphylococcus epidermidis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae under these conditions:
1. 1% NaCl solution
2. 7% NaCl solution
3. 15% NaCl solution

C. Explain the results of your observations for Staphylococcus epidermidis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae in NaCl solutions.
