Show Vs. Tell Assignment

For your assignment, you will rewrite the two tell statements below into show statements. Make sure to use vivid verbs and avoid adverbs as well in your responses using what you just learned in the Show Versus Tell Lecture Notes.

You will find that the sentences you write are probably going to be longer than these since it often takes many more words to show rather than tell, but you should focus on using a vivid verb, avoiding to be verbs (am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been), and avoiding adverbs.

1st Tell Statement: The dog was tired.

2nd Tell Statement: The baby sloppily ate spaghetti for the first time.
