The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is an electron microscope that makes use of electrons

in image formation as opposed to light (Wells). The understanding of how the equipment works

is very important for physics students and scientists. It is therefore very important for

demonstrations to be done in the lab to ensure that the students especially in the university level

are able to comprehend its’ working. The experiment was hence performed to aid the students

understanding of the concept.
