W15 Literature Review Project Due April 11th
Individual Literature Review Due April 4th
One of the most prevalent issues in project management is the need for effective use of social media to improve communications among the project team members themselves as well as the project sponsors and stakeholders. In this individual project you will be required to:
Research the need for better communications in project management using Social Media as a solution.
Read scholarly articles that expose the problem of project management communications. Search online database articles over the past 4 years and choose those that you think are the most interesting.
Develop a literature review of the various scholarly articles found on this topic (Maximum 5 pages single spaced).
Use APA style with single line spacing.
Do not make citations of websites, all of your citations must be from peer reviewed journals.
A literature review should include:
An overview of the subject, issue or theory under consideration, along with the objectives of the literature review. In this case it will be the need for improved communications in project management.
Division of works under review into categories (e.g. those in support of a particular position, those against, and those offering alternative theses entirely)
Explanation of how each work is similar to and how it varies from the others
Conclusions as to which pieces are best considered in their argument, are most convincing of their opinions, and make the greatest contribution to the understanding and development of their area of research
.Refer to this example literature review to get a better idea as to what is a literature review and how it should be formatted.
