locate a copy of “Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin (it is easily found on line or in our class text). Read and reread the work. Please visit “Libguides” or the virtual library via HCC’s web page or use a search engine like “Google” to locate outside critical interpretations of the story. Please read them and bookmark them for future use with your Final Papers. Your assignment has two parts:

Part One: Please research definitions of Victorianism and Romanticism. Create a one paragraph summary of each.

Part Two: Create a five paragraph essay (each paragraph should be about 5 to 7 sentences long) discussing how “Story of an Hour” is Romantic (please realize that this is a literary term and does not mean romance) and/or Victorian.
