Gender is all around us. Everything we do and how we do it is at least somewhat related to
gender. These exercises will help raise your awareness to the gendered world we live in. For
each Interpretive Example, please choose a lyric from a song and write about it using the concepts from this course. What does this stimulus convey about men, women, and the relations among men and women? What social and political implications
are there from this stimulus and its message? How does this reflect on the larger society? What
happened to you as you experienced it? What did you do and how is that a product of a
gendered society Interpretive Should be 2-3 pages. The description of thestimulus should only take up about a half of a page, so you have sufficient room to illustrate how
it is related to the psychology of men and masculinity. Think of this as somewhere between a
journal entry and a formal paper. Use APA style.
