Learning Team Assignment: Human Resource Management Presentation (Due Day 7 – Monday)
Your Learning Team has been selected to conduct a training to a group of new human resource management (HRM) employees at your company.
Note: Your instructor will assign each Learning Team a company from the Virtual Organization. Use the assigned company and the above scenario to complete this assignment.
· Resource: Virtual Organization
· Create a 10- to 15-slide PowerPoint® presentation in which your team trains new HRM employees on the role of HRM planning, its relationship to the strategic plan of the organization, and the importance of sustaining employee performance.
PART I:
o Provide an overview of the HRM planning process, including an overview of the steps of recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and hiring of employees.
o Address how effective training and development of new employees impacts employee engagement and retention.
PART II:
o Describe the general function of performance management systems.
o Suggest a job evaluation method for one of the positions within your assigned company, and describe the advantages and disadvantages of this method.
o Suggest a possible total compensation plan for the position.
PLUS:
o Use graphics to enhance your presentation (but don’t overdo it!)
o Include clear and specific presenter’s notes (i.e. what you would specifically say if your team was conducting this training). I will review ALL presenter’s notes – this is an important part of your grade.
