For this module, we’ll be continuing to use the Alcan case introduced in module 2. This time, you will be focusing on the parts of the analysis dealing with applications and applications management. However, you will need to draw upon both your previous review of hardware issues and on the general background material relating to the company that you used previously. It’s probably an excellent idea to go back over all the case before you start investigating software applications issues in detail. Undoubtedly, there are points raised earlier in the case relevant to your current analysis that you may not have noted earlier, but which will become more evident as you proceed with your analysis.
