Problem Statement: Organization has 130 openings, organization currently spends 25% placement fee to staffing agency for recruitment purposes. Employee Referral is not available, Open positions are have been open for over 6 months. Current staff are overworked, employee turn over is high and the organization is spending a lot of money on over time. The current applicant tracking system- is not social media friendly, so it’s hard to share open positions on social media. It takes over 30 minutes to complete an online application because the system is so outdated. Website career site is not easy to navigate.
Recommendations: Consult with hiring manager about the hiring needs and where have they been successful recruiting in the past.
Developed a Employee Referral Program, by paying employees $1000 when they refer an employee and the new employee have completed 90 days of employment.
Hosted an open house and invited individuals in the medical field as well as doing onsite interviews for high turnover positions such as medical assistant and patient care coordinator.
Currently working with a marketing company to develop a social media friendly website to have current employees share the organizations open positions online.
I successfully decrease positions to 80 openings with in 6 months.
