Order Description
Attend a live play (no musicals or grade school playsnothing younger than a high school play) or a live literature reading (poetry, fiction, or non-fiction).Has to be something in Washington DC area.
Write a 2 page, 550-word report on the event in which you do the following:
A. Describe the event. Include the title and genre of the piece of literature. Include how long the event is, who was present, who spoke, and a description of the setting. Include one direct quotation from the main speaker or one of the actors. Use no more than 2 paragraphs or 100 words to describe the event.
B.Compare the experience of reading literature to seeing the performance or reading. What was emphasized in the performance? Was your impression of the play, poem(s), story(ies), or essay(s) different after the performance than it had been during when you read literature? Why? Which did you preferthe performance or your own reading? Why?
