Masters Hardware has been operating in the region for three years and plans to expand further into the Southeast Asian region. The top priorities for the company over the next three to five years are timely distribution, maintaining customer satisfaction, sustaining their corporate social responsibility commitment and return on the end positive return on investment to shareholders, security of people and assets as well as other human resource issues.
Because of his excellent performance, Steve Chan has been promoted to Corporate Director of HR operations in the Southeast Asian region, with stores in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. The board believes that appropriate human resource management systems should be based on industry best practice but also adapted to fit the local culture for each region. Steve is very aware of how much culture can impact human resource management.
