You are asked by a consulting firm to conduct a research to evaluate the transportation situation in the city of Toronto. Please pick one topic on transportation (e.g. public transit, drivers? satisfaction) and design your research. In your research design, you should

(1) Discuss three purposes of the study and explain its importance HALF A PAGE)

– eg. justify the reason you wanna do this type of work, ? stress its importance and impact

(2) Choose the unit of analysis (e.g. male, high school graduates, specific industry) that you will study and provide TWO explanations for your choice. (HALF A PAGE)

(3) Discuss how you will collect the data for your study and justify your data collection method (HALF A PAGE)

– you dont need to go out and collect data ? it’s a mental exercise.

(4) Identify two possible ethical issues (HALF A PAGE)

– Write it in one single essay form and make sure the discussion is logical and consistent – no need for an introduction or conclusion

– make sure each of the 4 parts are equal in length (half a page for section 1, 2, 3 and 4)

– Presentation style ? write well and persuasive, forceful argument
