LEGAL MEMORANDUM

LEGAL MEMORANDUM
WRITE THE BELOW LEGAL MEMO: BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE LINES. MAKE SURE TO REFERENCE AND QUOTE CASES.

Legal Memorandum
You were recently hired to serve as a staff member for Senator S. Ernie Walton, a junior senator from Virginia. Senator Walton serves on the Senate Committee on Armed Services. Frustrated by numerous unilateral actions taken by the President in matters relating to the armed forces and national security, Senator Walton wants to understand the basic constitutional framework for National Security Law and the constitutional powers and limits of each branch of government (judicial, executive, and legislative) as it relates to national security law. Based solely on the assigned cases and notes in chapters 2-6 of National Security Law, by Dycus, Berney, Banks, & Raven-Hansen, (Aspen Casebooks 5th Ed., 2013), write Senator Walton an organized legal memorandum summarizing the constitutional framework for national security law and the constitutional powers and limits of each branch of government in national security matters.

Cite and quote cases and notes from the textbook. Discuss all major issues from the reading.
The memo will be graded on organization, writing and grammar, identification of all relevant issues, and correct statement of the law.
ONLY CASES TO REFERENCES AND USE DIRECT QUOTES FROM CASES from National Security Law, by Dycus, Berney, Banks, & Raven-Hansen, (Aspen Casebooks 5th Ed., 2013).
